Frequently Asked Questions
What is Jingle?
Jingle is a fun app that allows you to tweet whatever you are listening to! The app works with the iPhone and iPod Touch 3.0 OS or later and supports your music, podcasts and audiobooks.
Is it free?
Yes, of course!
What do I need to get started?
Jingle works with any iPhone or iPod Touch. (Make sure your device is updated to the latest OS 3.0.) You’ll need to have a few songs sync’d from iTunes on your device to be able to Jingle about them. You’ll also need a Twitter account. If you don’t have a Twitter account click here to create one. (That’s free, too!)
What should I Jingle?
Like a regular text-based Tweet, a good rule of thumb would be to Jingle media that you like and want to share with others.
Can I Jingle songs and music that are streamed? (e.g Pandora)
No. Jingle only works with songs and other media supported by your iPod music player.
Does Jingle support other social media websites such as Facebook?
Not at this time, but we are working on it! Facebook users can have their Twitter account sync’d to Facebook to have their Jingles show in Facebook. Here’s an article that shows how to display your Twitter postings on Facebook. If you would like Jingle to work with any other favorite social media apps just let us know.
I don’t have playlists- just individual songs. Where can I access them?
Under the playlists tab choose the “More” button. This will provide you with a more detailed view of your media items, which will include your list of songs and any downloaded podcasts or audiobooks.
I see buttons for accessing next and previous songs, but where are the buttons for play and pause?
Just tap on your album art from the media tab.
Can I delete Jingles that I post?
While there is no support for this in Jingle, you can always accomplish this directly at the Twitter website.
How can I submit a bug or feature request?
Feel free to send in your feature requests and comments to jingle-at-arbutusinc.com.
